The Gospel according to Matthew
Patron story and spiritual focus
Matthew was called by Jesus from the tax collector's table and became an apostle and evangelist. His Gospel presents Jesus as Emmanuel and the fulfilment of God's promises, calling disciples to live the Beatitudes.
How a session runs
Each meeting opens with prayer, reads the passage aloud, allows time for personal reflection, then shares what each member heard. The leader closes with intercessions and a short summary for the week ahead.
